G7 Leaders Pledge 1 Billion Vaccines to the World

United States to supply over 500 million doses.

On Friday, President Biden met with leaders among the Group of 7 Nations (G7) to discuss matters of international cooperation including trade and COVID-19 recovery. One major announcement from the meeting in Cornwall was that the seven nations would be donating 1 billion vaccines to nations around the world that are struggling with their relief efforts.

According to the president, the United States will contribute 500 million vaccines by the end of 2022 to meet this goal. This increases the total number of promised to 580 million. This would make the United States the largest donor to the international COVAX effort. President Biden also joined with his fellow leaders in pledging to rejoin and support the World Health Organization.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Lord to guide the president as he discusses national policy with our allies.
  • That God would help G7 nations meet their vaccination goal.
  • For the Lord to help Congress implement policies that help our international position improve.
