President Hosts Infrastructure Talks

Gathers congressional leaders for a bipartisan path forward.

On Wednesday, President Biden invited party leaders to the White House to discuss the future of his push to pass a major infrastructure plan for the nation. The meeting included Vice President Harris, House Minority Leader McCarthy, Senate Minority Leader McConnell, Speaker of the House Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Schumer. President Biden has publicly stated his desire to find bipartisan consensus on assuring that the nation’s built environment is updated and repaired.

After the meeting, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell stated that his party would not be willing to renegotiate the 2017 tax cuts which were a major conservative victory during President Trump’s term. He said, “We’re not interested in re-opening the 2017 tax bill. We both made that clear with the president. That’s our red line.” More meetings will be held for the remainder of the week in an attempt to move the plan forward.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would help the leaders come to an agreement in the best interest of the country.
  • For the president would seek God’s wisdom as he seeks support for his plans for the nation.
  • That legislators have discernment as they pass necessary infrastructure bills.
