President Biden Gives First Joint Address to Congress

Promotes continued expansion of government’s role in American life.

On Wednesday, President Biden gave the first joint address to members of Congress and the Supreme Court of his presidency. President Biden set a bright tone on how he believes the nation is heading in the years to come. He said “I can report to the nation: America is on the move again. [We are] turning peril into possibility. Crisis into opportunity. Setback into strength.”

The president also used his time to address how the country could recover from the tragedy of the COVID-19 pandemic. His strategy to accomplish this goal is the largest growth in government programming since the New Deal after the Great Depression, seeking trillions of dollars to provide for American’s human rights including universal child care, two years of paid community college, and monthly payments to American parents.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would fulfill His plan for the nation as the president’s administration pursues its goals.
  • For members of Congress to seek God’s wisdom.
  • For ongoing protection for all governing officials in the days to come.
