President Meets with Lawmakers about Infrastructure Plan

Gathers former governors and mayors for input as well.

On Monday, President Biden met with members of Congress from both sides of the political aisle to discuss his proposed infrastructure plan. The White House selected the coalition based on their prior experience as state governors or city mayors. The group was made of up Senators John Hickenlooper, John Hoeven, Angus King, Mitt Romney, and Jeanne Shaheen; and Representatives Emanuel Cleaver, Charlie Crist, Carlos Giménez, Kay Granger, and Norma Torres.

A White House press release about the meeting stated, “These former state and local elected officials understand firsthand the impact of a federal investment in rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure on their communities.” The bill is still in the early stages and not crafted in either branch of Congress

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That members of Congress would seek God’s wisdom as infrastructure needs are considered.
  • That God’s purpose would be fulfilled as the president and Congress discuss the issues facing the nation.
  • For the president’s advisors to have discernment as they offer recommendations.
