Issue 475 – Verse of the Week

January 28th – February 3rd, 2021

I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord. – Psalm 121:1-2

Anyone who has explored the intricacies of photography understands the importance of the right equipment. The right lens will enable the photographer to get detailed close-ups or focus on items far away while blurring the foreground. Things like shutter speeds, aperture openings, and other options and specialty equipment are often employed. By now, you’ve seen photographs of the coronavirus that used an electron microscope to which a camera was attached. The Hubble telescope has a far different series of lenses. Altogether, the key to sharp images is getting things in focus. How sharp is your focus on the Lord? He has your future in His vision. Hebrews 12:2 tells you to look to Jesus, for it is in Him that your faith begins and is renewed. Keep your eyes lifted high and focused on your Sovereign God, the Source of all you need.
