Commission Will Study Judicial Reform

They will focus on Supreme Court as well as lower courts.

President Biden’s administration is moving ahead with the creation of a bipartisan commission to study reforms to the Supreme Court and federal judiciary.

The commission will be under the purview of the White House Counsel’s office. Some of the commission members have been selected and are moving ahead and others may be added.

In October, during his campaign, President Biden said he would form such a commission but also conceded he is “not a fan of court-packing.” At that time, he said, “The last thing we need to do is turn the Supreme Court into just a political football; whoever has the most votes gets whatever they want. Presidents come and go. Supreme Court justices stay for generations.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to guide the new commission studying potential reforms to the United States Supreme Court.
  • For God’s will to guide the president’s administration in their approach to the federal judiciary.
  • For the justices and judges of America’s courts to rule in accordance with the U.S. Constitution.
