President Trump Marks 450 Miles of Border Wall

“I kept my promises,” the president said.

On Tuesday, President Trump toured a portion of the U.S.-Mexico border wall under construction. He signed a plaque on the wall, and told reporters, “For years politicians ran for office promising to secure the border—only to get elected and do the absolute exact opposite; they even promised a wall. But unlike those who came before me, I kept my promises. Today, we celebrate an extraordinary milestone: the completion of the promised 450 miles of border wall.”

President Trump had promised that his administration would build 450 miles of wall by the end of 2020, and last week officials announced that had been achieved. Additionally, there are more than 300 miles under construction or pre-construction.

The president declared that his administration has “achieved the most secure southern border in U.S. history.” He added, “We look on the cartels, the coyotes, and the special interests and we restored the rule of law.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That the U.S.-Mexico border wall will save lives and prevent criminal activity and human trafficking.
  • For the leaders and officers of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
  • For the incoming administration and its intended policies on immigration.
