President Signs Executive Order on Federal Architecture

New federal buildings must be beautiful and reflect the classical style.

This past week President Trump signed an executive order to update federal policy regarding the preferred architecture of new federal buildings. This is a reflection on the General Services Administration’s choosing for decades to construct, often unpopular, modernist styles of architecture that have largely excluded public input.

The president stated in the order that “New Federal building designs should, like America’s beloved landmark buildings, uplift and beautify public spaces, inspire the human spirit, ennoble the United States, command respect from the general public, and, as appropriate, respect the architectural heritage of a region.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump as he aims to protect American heritage.
  • For the president’s administration as they attend to the concerns of U.S. citizens.
