Thursday, December 24

President Donald Trump is spending the Christmas holiday with his family at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida. He has no public events scheduled today, but he expects to hold meetings or calls to continue working on matters that face the nation.

On Wednesday, the president signed the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Officer Corps Amendments Act of 2020 into law, authorizing NOAA officials “to communicate directly with the Congress, free from supervision within the executive branch and free from consequence in the event they make unauthorized disclosures, such as classified or confidential information related to an ongoing investigation.”

President Trump also signed the “Route 66 Centennial Commission Act” on Wednesday, providing for a commission appointed by the president “to conduct a study on ways to honor the centennial anniversary of Route 66 and to provide recommendations exclusively to the Congress” that will operate under the legislative branch with administrative support from the General Services Administration.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his family as they prepare for the Christmas holiday.
  • For the meetings and calls President Trump participates in to benefit the nation.
  • For God’s will to be accomplished in the bills Congress passes and the president signs into law.
