Revolution

Love them in to His Kingdom.

Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

They were revolutionaries!  Not the military kind, nor the political kind…they were the Jesus kind! Following the resurrection of Jesus, and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, those few individuals would “turn the world upside down.” Within 300 years, churches had blossomed all over the Middle East, North Africa and Europe, as word of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was spread. They had taken to heart Jesus’ command to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). Many of them paid the highest price for following Jesus; but the witness of their martyrdom served to increase those who would be saved.

Life moves forward and you can move with it. Be a strong witness for Jesus Christ regardless of the nation’s circumstances. Show the love of Jesus to others. Follow the admonition of Paul to Timothy when he said, “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:1-4).  There are no higher callings upon your life today than these!

Pray With Us

Almighty God in Heaven, it is your will that all people should come to the knowledge of the truth of Jesus Christ and be saved. I acknowledge that my responsibility may not be as a preacher from a pulpit, or as a missionary to some distant land. But I also know that I may be the only Bible that some other person reads. Help me be loving enough to draw people to You. Help me set aside the things that have bothered me this year and keep my eyes fixed on You.  Holy Spirit, continue Your work in me, building my faith and confidence. These things I ask in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

  • Thank God for your salvation in Jesus Christ.
  • Acknowledge the work that He would want you doing for Him, and ask for strength and power from the Holy Spirit.
  • Commit yourself to praying for those in authority over you, whether they are your choice or not, because this pleases God.
  • Pray that you would be a righteous example of the love of Jesus to others.
