CDC Panel Announces Vaccine Distribution Schedule

Healthcare workers and nursing homes are front of the line.

The CDC announced on Tuesday that an independent board had voted on the government recommended vaccination distribution schedule. In a 13-to-1 vote, the CDC panel said that front line healthcare workers and residents of nursing homes would be the first ones to receive the recently approved COVID-19 vaccine.

The two groups of Americans make up about 24 million out of the 330 million residents of the country. Once vaccine distribution begins, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices will meet again and vote on the next group set to receive the vaccine. Under consideration are teachers, police, firefighters, and other essential workers.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That the CDC would be given wisdom on how to distribute the vaccine.
  • For the Lord to give the Advisory Committee guidance on the best people to receive the next round of the vaccine.
  • That God would bring an end to the pandemic.
