U.S. Provides Weapons to the Philippines

Promises to continue to defend island nation.

The United States announced on Monday that it intended to continue to protect the island nation of the Philippines against foreign entanglements through a donation of $18 million worth of missile systems. U.S. National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien oversaw the transfer of the smart bombs designed to fight terrorists in the south and posture power against China in the region.

National Security Advisor O’Brien said of the deal, “We today transferred precision ammunitions including missiles and missile launchers to the Philippines. That’s a sign of the confidence that we have in the Philippine military so the military can prosecute the war against ISIS, just like we’re prosecuting the war against ISIS in the Middle East.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would keep the nation of the Philippines free from conflict.
  • That God would lead Advisor O’Brien to keep up strong relations among different nations.
  • For the Lord to help the State Department to form strong relations between the U.S. and her allies.
