Wednesday, November 11

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will take part in the National Veterans Day Observance held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere, said that, along with the visit to the cemetery, “the president will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.”

Early in November, the president spoke about supporting veterans, “We pledge our gratitude to every man and woman currently serving this nation in uniform, to all our veterans who helped preserve and defend our precious freedom, and to every family member who shares in the service and sacrifice of military life.”

Ahead of the holiday, Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt announced that, as a way to honor all service men and women of the armed forces, the president and the administration would grant free lifetime passes to all veterans and Gold Star Family members enabling them to visit over 2,000 federal recreation areas and national parks.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to be at work through the president and administration officials as they work to provide care for the nation’s veterans.
  • For healing, strength, and comfort for the men and women who have sacrificed many years of their life in service to the nation.
  • For safety for the president and first lady as they travel.
