Pfizer Inc. warns against rushing the vaccine.
While on the campaign trail, President Trump has suggested a finished vaccine could be available before November’s Election Day. Multiple medicine producers have recently emphasized the nature and timing of the trial process. Pfizer Inc., Moderna Inc., and BioNTech have all released statements outlining their process for transparency and clarification.
“We are operating at the speed of science,” wrote Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla wrote in a letter posted to the company’s website. He explained that not only must effectiveness be tested, but also safety, for which large scale testing is still required. Pfizer Inc. estimates that a fully-fledged vaccine of that caliber will be ready by Nov. 15 at the earliest. Moderna Inc. estimates Nov. 25.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For American scientists as they keep our citizens safe both in testing and out of testing.
- That the Lord would continue to protect healthcare workers exposed to COVID-19 every day.
- That President Trump promotes clarity and unity with vaccine producers.
