Senate Sets Voting Dates on Barrett Nomination

Committee will vote October 22; full Senate October 23.

Rejecting a motion to delay proceedings until after the election, the Senate Judiciary Committee scheduled October 22 to advance Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he expects to bring her nomination to the floor on October 23.

“We’ll go to the floor on Friday the 23 and stay on it until we finished. We have the votes,” said Senator McConnell.
