Federal Judge Bans Postal Service Changes

Calls changes a “politically motivated attack.”

On Thursday, Federal Judge Stanley Bastian granted a temporary block on the proposed USPS “leave behind” policy. The policy sent mail trucks out from the post office regardless if there was more mail to load in them. Attorneys general from fourteen states requested the injunction.

According to Judge Bastian, “The states have demonstrated the defendants are involved in a politically motivated attack on the efficiency of the Postal Service.” He also stated that the changes created “a substantial possibility many voters will be disenfranchised.” However, Postal Service spokesperson Dave Partenheimer said that “there should be no doubt that the Postal Service is ready and committed to handle whatever volume of election mail it receives.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would allow for the U.S. to have a free and fair election this year.
  • For God to lead the USPS to effectively allow for communication and voting.
  • For Judge Bastian to be led by the Lord to uphold the rule of law in his decisions.
