Interior Department Announces Recovered Animal Species

Eleven species have fully recovered under President Trump’s Administration.

This week the Department of the Interior announced that efforts taken by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service since 2017 have allowed eleven species to recover population enough to no longer be listed on the Endangered Species list. According to data from the Interior Department, this is the most species that have ever recovered in a single presidential administration.

Assistant Secretary Rob Wallace stated, “Since 2017, eleven species have fully recovered, no longer being listed on the Endangered Species Act (ESA) list, and another six species have been downlisted from endangered to threatened. The Service is nearing final determinations for more than a dozen other species to be de-listed or downlisted.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would enable the Interior Department to bring back more species from near-extinction.
  • For God to enable the Trump Administration to protect any species found to be endangered.
  • That Assistant Secretary Wallace would effectively lead his department.
