Senate Majority Leader Calls out American Mayors

Says that certain cities’ leaders aren’t addressing violence.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell spoke directly to many of the nation’s mayors this week, calling for an end to the unrest caused in the wake of a global pandemic, racial unrest, and economic hardship. He stated that some mayors were refusing to enforce the laws to prevent property damage and rioting.

“What you’ve seen, I think, in some of these major cities is a reluctance on the part of elected officials to enforce the law because of the apparent sympathy with at least some of those protesting,” said Senator McConnell. He called on Americans to respect police officers, reaffirming the idea that there are only a few bad actors in police forces and not a systemic problem of unjust policing.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to lead Senator McConnell in helping the nation to heal.
  • That God would guide Congress to pass laws to aid the nation during these difficult times.
  • For the Lord to lead voters around the country in November to choose the best leaders for the nation.
