Kamala Harris Accepts Nomination for Vice President

She promises to champion voiceless and forgotten Americans as the Democratic running mate.

Senator Kamala Harris of California accepted the nomination to be Joe Biden’s running mate at the Wednesday evening virtual edition of the Democrat National Convention. She made history as the first black and South Asian woman to accept a major party’s vice presidential nod.

She introduced herself, told of her youth, education, and work as a prosecutor in California. She said that “the fight for justice is a shared responsibility” and promised to be a champion for the voiceless and forgotten Americans who are struggling in the midst of a pandemic and an economic crisis.

She echoed the theme heard throughout convention speeches that people need to vote early this year.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Senator Harris to be safe and remain well on the campaign trail.
  • For former vice president Joe Biden as he concludes the convention’s activities with his own speech Thursday night.
  • For the presidential election ballots to be accurately counted and reported in November.
