“He was not just my brother, he was my best friend,” said President Trump
Late on Saturday, President Donald Trump released a public statement saying, “It is with heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight.” The president continued, “He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”
Shortly before leaving for New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan on Friday, the president told the press, “I have a wonderful brother. We’ve had a great relationship for a long time, from Day 1, a long time ago.”
Robert S. Trump was 71 years of age and is survived by his wife Ann Marie.
