Next Round of COVID-19 Aid being Discussed

Debate of contents to proceed next week in the Senate

Earlier this week, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell indicated that he had been in multiple conversations with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin regarding the next round of financial relief from the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Senator McConnell stated that he expected the Senate to debate the bill the week of July 20.

Senator McConnell had expressed that any future aid package would only be agreed on after reviewing the data from the first round of relief that offered Americans $1,200 if they were under an income threshold. He said of the upcoming package, “I’m predicting we will have one more rescue package, which we’ll begin to debate and discuss next week.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would use the Senate to provide the needed help that Americans seek.
  • For Secretary Mnuchin to provide wisdom on the best route for COVID-19 recovery.
  • That God would use Senator McConnell to provide the most needed aid for the nation.
