Today, President Donald Trump will travel to Atlanta, Georgia, where he will announce the implementation of a new infrastructure policy which updates the 1970 National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). In January of this year, when announcing the planned change, the president said, “From day one, my administration has made fixing this regulatory nightmare a top priority. And we want to build new roads, bridges, tunnels, highways bigger, better, faster, and we want to build them at less cost.”

The goal of the new policy is to reduce red tape and speed up needed infrastructure projects around the nation. This will impact the construction of highways, bridges, tunnels, gas pipelines, and other major construction projects. Experts believe that the updates will cut the time it takes to complete the current environmental impact review process from an average of 7 years, down to under 2. “The United States can’t compete and prosper if a bureaucratic system holds us back from building what we need,” the president added.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For safety for the president as he travels.
  • For God’s will to be accomplished through the new policy change and for it to be in the best interest of the nation.
  • For wisdom for the president as he continues to work to address issues related to meeting the infrastructure needs of America.
