President Begins Independence Day Celebrations

Defends nation’s legacy at Mt. Rushmore.

President Trump delivered an Independence Day speech in South Dakota on Friday leading into the Fourth of July weekend. He spoke of the principles upon which the United States was founded and the enduring spirit of Americans.

President Trump highlighted the accomplishments of the four presidents whose faces are carved into the Black Hills of Mt. Rushmore, and the symbolism of each of their eras.

The president expressed concern about those who seem “determined to tear down every statue, symbol, and memory of our national heritage.” He spoke of the need for dialogue and tolerance in order for American values to prevail. “It is time to speak up loudly and strongly and powerfully, and defend the integrity of our country,” said President Trump.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the President to be kept safe during his travels.
  • That God would use the July 4th celebrations to build unity in the U.S.
