President Trump Aims to End DACA by Other Means

New enhanced papers will be submitted.

Following the Supreme Court Decision last week blocking his administration’s attempt to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), President Trump stated on Friday that he would continue to try to end the program. Created by the Obama administration, DACA allows children without documentation in the country to be protected from deportation if they grew up within the United States.

The president has consistently opposed the program, declaring that it offers illegal executive amnesty. Since the Supreme Court denied the president’s action to end the program on the grounds that the proper procedures were not in place, President Trump tweeted, “We will be submitting enhanced papers shortly in order to properly fulfill the Supreme Court’s ruling & request of yesterday.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to protect the vulnerable within our nation from harm.
  • That God would give the president wisdom on how best to treat those who live in this country.
  • For the Supreme Court to be guided on the best way to uphold the laws of the U.S.
