White House to Ease Social Distancing Guidelines

Travel restrictions remain in place through May.

On Thursday of last week, the White House announced that federal COVID-19 social distancing guidelines would not be extended into the future. The guidelines that had been put in place had an end date of April 30. The White House also announced that travel guidelines would be extended for an additional 30 days through the end of May.

The White House will be relying on state governments to lead their population on the best ways to stop and slow the spread of the disease. According to President Trump, “[The guidelines] will be fading out, because now the governors are doing it.” The White House has released a three-phase plan for areas to reopen from lockdown with rolling reopenings, and advisories to wear masks in public places.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to use the White House to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
  • For President Trump to have wisdom on how best to tackle the reopening of the country.
  • For an end to this pandemic.
