Three-Part Recipe for Inner Peace

Romans 12:12 – Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

In kitchens across America, people are looking for simple, three-ingredient recipes to feed their families—recipes like Betty Crocker’s chocolate cherry cake, or something healthier like a three-ingredient black bean soup or grilled chicken kabobs. Whatever their ease, the preparer does it in love.

It is with love that God has given you the recipe for inner peace. Joy, patience, and constancy or faithfulness, are all fruits of the Holy Spirit. You can operate in the midst of the tribulations of today because on either side of it is joy and prayer.  All of them are essential to God’s carrying out His purposes in you. His work is effective and will turn out for your good.

For we know that for those who love God, all things—the rejoicing in hope, the patience in tribulation, the faithfulness in prayer—work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

Pray With Us

Loving Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me what Your Word says. Sometimes it seems too simple, and I admit to trying to make it more of a challenge. The days are difficult, but, as in everything in my life, You always provide a way for me. Bless me today, and, please God, bless America,

Amen.
