Forced Reliance

Daniel 2:21 – He changes times and seasons; Ge removes kings and sets up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

An old hymn says, “Just keep on praying until the light breaks through, just keep on praying, He’ll answer you.”  Things are difficult in America. They’re difficult in some 184 countries around the Earth. The COVID-19 virus has forced nearly impossible demands on people. Some are sick. Some have died. Each time an answer looks to be on the horizon, there seems to be a problem with it. Nearly seven in ten Americans want the economy to remain closed until there is a vaccine, according to the Washington Examiner. Scientists say that could be 18 months to a year. Does anyone really want two years of the kind of difficulty being endured today?

Difficult situations force you to rely on God. He has not asked you to handle things on your own. He is ready to give wisdom…but you need to ask for it. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him” (James 1:5).  Believe it. He longs to impart wisdom, divine wisdom from above. Receive it in faith today.

Pray With Us

Heavenly Father, You are the source of all wisdom. Across these past weeks, I’ve asked You to give wisdom to the president and to the scientists and doctors working on the best solutions in the face of this dreadful virus. Many men and women are giving the president their wisdom, but he really needs Yours, Precious Lord. And not the president only, but I need wisdom in going through the things I must do every day when my heart is weary, and my will is weak.  Remove the burden of anxiety from me, as I watch to see what You are doing in advancing Your Kingdom here on the Earth. Thank You for loving me. I bless Your Name,

Amen.
