Sunday, April 19

Today, President Donald Trump will be staying at the White House in Washington, D.C. While he and the first family will look to spend a few hours together resting ahead of another busy week, the president will remain focused on the federal response effort to the outbreak of COVID-19.

During Saturday’s Coronavirus Task Force Briefing, the president highlighted that some states are looking to begin efforts to reopen and restart their economies as early as Monday. As they are still in phase one, most will still require citizens to maintain social distancing and those who are most at risk are recommended to stay at home. Other non-essential workers are still expected to work from home when possible.

As more states put together plans to reopen, the president and administration officials will continue to monitor the data and adjust the federal guidelines in response. Members of the task force reiterated that the guidelines are not a timetable and all recommendations are subject to change as more information becomes available in the coming days.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for the president as he faces the difficult decisions regarding how to reopen the nation in a way that protects American people and allows the economy to recover.
  • For God to guide each member of the task force as they lead in their respective areas.
  • For God to bless the time, however short, that the first family spends together today.
