IRS Begins Depositing COVID-19 Aid Checks

Will continue aid distribution over the following weeks.

The IRS announced on Saturday that it had begun the process of distributing millions of checks to Americans in order to stabilize the economy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The majority of Americans would receive $1,200 per person and $500 for their dependant children. In a tweet, the department said, “We know many people are anxious to get their payments; we’ll continue issuing them as fast as we can.”

The deposits from the Treasury Department will continue over the course of the next couple of weeks. The Department has indicated that those who have already filed their 2018 and 2019 returns would be the first to receive aid payments. For those not required to file, the IRS has built an online filing tool to give banking information to deposit their money.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would use the staff of the IRS to quickly distribute aid to Americans.
  • For Treasury Secretary Mnuchin to be used by God to lead the Department effectively.
  • That God would use the Trump Administration to bring the nation out of this pandemic.
