President Trump Meets with G20 Leadership

He spoke directly with the Chinese President.

Thursday, President Trump participated in an emergency meeting of G20 leaders to discuss the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic. During the virtual conversation, President Trump spoke with Chinese President Xi Jinping as the number of confirmed cases in the U.S. surpassed those in China. President Trump described the conversation in a tweet as “very good.”

Currently, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson have tested positive for the virus, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel is in self-quarantine after being exposed to COVID-19. According to the President, global leaders will be “injecting” over $5 trillion into the global economy in order to stave off a massive economic downturn due to the pandemic. Nations also promised to share their health data to fight the spread.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would protect the health of leaders around the world.
  • For President Trump to have wisdom as he conducts diplomatic actions.
  • For the actions of the White House to stop the spread of COVID-19.
