President Names New Chief of Staff

Taps Representative Mark Meadows of North Carolina

President Trump announced that North Carolina Representative Mark Meadows will be the new White House chief of staff.

Mick Mulvaney, the acting White House chief of staff for the last four months, will become envoy to Northern Ireland

Meadows had announced in December that he would be retiring from Congress at the end of the current term. His early resignation will open his North Carolina House seat just months before this year’s election.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said, “Mark Meadows has been a strong advocate for the president and the ‘America First’ agenda from the start.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Mark Meadows as he takes on the position of White House Chief of Staff.
  • For wisdom for other members of the president’s staff and their responses to the current coronavirus and financial markets strains on government .
