Navy Updating Education Program

Goal to provide modern Associate’s degrees for Marines and sailors

The Navy announced on Monday that it would be rolling out a new overhaul of their education program for new recruits. According to the Education for Seapower Strategy 2020, the Navy will no longer be assuming a technological or economic edge against the nation’s adversaries. The goal of the program would be to create a Naval community college that would provide associate’s degrees to young sailors and Marines.

John Kroger is the Navy’s first chief learning officer, and responsible for implementing the new education program. He said, “We think we can out-fight potential opponents because we can out-think them. In order to do that, we must have, by far, the best military education program in the world.” The hope is that this free education program would be rolled out over the next few years.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to use the Navy to keep the nation safe.
  • That this new education program would lift up the next generation of leaders.
  • For President Trump to lead the armed forces effectively.
