Attorney General Barr Evaluating Sanctuary Cities

President Trump and Attorney General Barr

Looking to make New Jersey and Washington comply with federal standards

On Monday, Attorney General William Barr announced that the Justice Department would be upping the pressure against the various “sanctuary” localities across the nation. These communities choose to not comply with the Department of Homeland Security in order to protect their local immigrant communities from deportation.

The Justice Department has brought lawsuits against the state of New Jersey and King Country Washington. He said, “Unfortunately, in various jurisdictions, so-called ‘progressive’ politicians are jeopardizing the public’s safety by putting the interests of criminal aliens before those of law-abiding citizens.” The suits will attempt to block laws that prohibit local law enforcement from sharing data with federal agencies.

As the Lord Leads, pray with us…

  • For AG Barr to pursue policies that promote peace.
  • That the federal government would be aligned with local governments on security and humanitarian goals.
  • For the Trump Administration to be led to the policies that best care for all Americans.
