Selected programs will receive from $100,000 to $500,000.
The Department of Energy (DOE) announced $134 million for two fusion research programs. Of that total, $128 million has been allocated for Fusion Innovative Research Engine (FIRE) collaboratives, awarded to seven teams dedicated to forming virtual networks for research and development ecosystems. The Innovation Network for Fusion Energy (INFUSE) program has been allocated $1.6 million to support 20 projects that connect national laboratories and universities with companies in the private sector.
“Under President Trump’s leadership, DOE is unleashing the next frontier of American energy,” said Energy Secretary Chris Wright. “Fusion power holds the promise of limitless, reliable, American-made energy—and programs like INFUSE and FIRE ensure our innovators have the tools, talent, and partnerships to make it a reality.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Wright to receive God’s wisdom as he oversees the investment in fusion research.
- For President Trump and members of his Cabinet as they support the development of energy sources in the nation.
