Faithful Through the Fire
Dear Prayer Warrior,
As we approach the 24th anniversary of our prayer ministry next week, we are reminded that God’s timing is never coincidental. This sacred milestone arrives in a season marked by both deep sorrow and divine invitation.
Just yesterday, our nation was shaken by the tragic death of Charlie Kirk—a bold and uncompromising voice for faith and freedom. His life was taken while speaking to students at a public university, a moment that underscores both the urgency and the cost of standing for truth in today’s culture. Charlie’s unwavering commitment to righteousness and his courage to speak truth in love are qualities we remember.
Today, we also pause to reflect on the solemn memory of September 11. Thousands of lives were lost in a single day, and yet from that tragedy arose a renewed cry for unity, hope, and prayer. These moments—both past and present—call us to remember, to honor, and most importantly, to intercede.
In this spirit, we were deeply moved by President Trump’s recent announcement of the “America Prays” initiative. Though we remain independent of any political affiliation, this public affirmation of prayer echoes the very heartbeat of our mission. For 24 years, we have stood in the gap, believing that prayer can transform hearts, heal wounds, and restore a nation.
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
Now, more than ever, we believe it is time for all Americans to answer the call to prayer. Let us lift our voices, humbling ourselves before God and seeking His mercy, wisdom, and healing for our land.
Let us continue in faith and perseverance, steadfast in our resolve to intercede for America.
With gratitude for your faithfulness and hope for what lies ahead,
Jim Bolthouse
President
P.S. As we reflect, we invite you to view a special Promise and Prayer for 9/11 video below. May it remind us of the enduring strength found in faith and hope in our Heavenly Father.
A Promise and a Prayer for 9/11
Heavenly Father, we come to You in remembrance of those who lost their lives 24 years ago. We mourn alongside the families who lost loved ones. In the midst of this tragedy, we witnessed courage and selflessness from those who put themselves in harm’s way to protect and serve both friends and strangers. We ask for your protection over our first responders, who continue to risk their lives each day to help others. We pray for a uniting of our communities and for Your hand of healing upon our nation. We ask this in the name of Jesus, amen.
