The support is part of $30 billion disaster relief funding passed in December 2024.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released $221 million to support farms in North Carolina recovering from Hurricane Helene.
This funding is part of the $30 billion authorized for emergency aid by Congress in 2024 in the passing of the American Relief Act for the 2025 fiscal year. The USDA is working with North Carolina and 13 other states to distribute that funding.
“President Trump has our farmers’ backs, and we are working quickly to get these much-needed relief funds to those who need to rebuild,” said Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins. This is one part of our daily actions to ensure our farmers have the resources they need to continue to produce the safest, most reliable, and most abundant food supply in the world.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Rollins to seek God’s guidance as she manages the USDA and its many agencies.
- For Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Stephen Alexander Vaden as he oversees the grant distribution to facilitate farmers’ recovery from the devastating hurricane.
