President Diagnosed with Chronic Venous Insufficiency

President Trump was examined after experiencing swelling in his legs.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reported on Thursday that President Donald Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency. The president underwent a “comprehensive examination, including diagnostic vascular studies” after he experienced swelling in his legs.

“In the effort of transparency, the President wanted me to share a note from his physician with all of you today,” the press secretary said. “In recent weeks, President Trump noted mild swelling in his lower legs. In keeping with routine medical care and out of an abundance of caution, this concern was thoroughly evaluated by the White House medical unit. The President underwent a comprehensive evaluation.”

“All results were within normal limits,” she continued. “No signs of health failure.”

The president’s physician, Captain Sean Barbabella, wrote, “Importantly, there was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or arterial disease.” He said President Trump’s lab testing was all “within normal limits.” The president also underwent an echocardiogram. Captain Barbabella stated, “No signs of heart failure, renal impairment, or systemic illness were identified.”

The press secretary reported that bruises on President Trump’s right hand were from aggressive handshaking and taking aspirin.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Lord to bless President Trump with continued health and wellbeing.
  • For Captain Barbabella to be wise in his monitoring of the president’s health.
