President Donald Trump is meeting with administration officials today as he prepares to travel to Scotland tomorrow.
The Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, is considering nominees for confirmation for U.S. Attorney in the districts of Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, the District of Columbia, Minnesota, Eastern Virginia, and Middle Louisiana.
The Senate Health, Labor, and Pensions Committee, chaired by Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, will vote on the confirmations of nominees to posts in the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, chaired by Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, is considering the nominations of individuals for positions in the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Special Counsel, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
The House Appropriations Committee, chaired by Representative Tom Cole of Oklahoma, is holding a full committee meeting today to markup the fiscal year 2026 Commerce, Justice, Science, and related agencies bill.
