New agreement seeks to boost innovation, security, and resource efficiency across both nations.
The U.S. Departments of the Interior and Energy, led by Secretaries Doug Burgum and Chris Wright, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ambassador Yechiel (Michael) Leiter this month to promote cooperation on energy and artificial intelligence (AI). The agreement, formed under the National Energy Dominance Council, intends to strengthen U.S.-Israel collaboration in managing natural resources, advancing AI innovation, and enhancing energy systems.
The partnership will explore joint efforts in areas such as analyzing energy demands from growing data center usage, optimizing electrical grids, bolstering cybersecurity with AI tools, and sharing strategies for AI integration into energy infrastructure.
“U.S. Energy Dominance demands the advancement of artificial intelligence,” said Interior Secretary Burgum. “Through the advancement of AI, while properly managing our natural resources and improving our energy systems, the Trump administration is powering a new future that transforms global energy dominance for America and our allies.”
The two nations also plan to launch bilateral pilot projects to accelerate innovation and ensure the resilience and security of both countries’ energy sectors.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretaries Wright and Burgum as they collaborate with Israeli counterparts on energy innovation and resource management.
- For U.S. officials to be discerning as they facilitate the development of energy systems and resilience.
