The House committee continues to seek further information on the physical and mental health status of former President Biden during his term.
On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee held a private deposition, a sworn out-of-court legal testimony, to question President Joe Biden’s former White House Physician, Kevin O’Connor. The committee has been gathering testimony from witnesses regarding the former president’s mental state and capabilities while in office.
During the meeting, Dr. O’Connor answered three questions before he walked out: what his name is for the record; if he ever lied about the president’s health; and if he ever thought Joe Biden was unfit for presidential duties. The former White House physician gave his name and invoked his Fifth Amendment rights for the remaining two questions.
“This is unprecedented, and I think that this adds more fuel to the fire that there was a cover-up,” said committee Chairman James Comer of Kentucky.
