President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are visiting Central Texas today, where devastating floods claimed more than 120 lives. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will tour the region with them.

The flash flooding began on July 4th, with the Guadalupe River rising between 15-20 feet in about an hour. The historic flooding swept through a Christian girls’ camp, and a third of the reported fatalities have been children.
President Trump declared a major disaster for the region on Sunday, calling it a “terrible thing.” The president stated on social media, “Melania and I are praying for all the families impacted by this horrible tragedy.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For safe travels for President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump as they go to survey Central Texas and offer comfort.
- For wisdom for the president and DHS secretary as they provide federal support to recovery efforts.
- For officials in New Mexico as they also address recent deadly flooding in the state’s southern region.
- For God’s comfort for all who are grieving the loss of loved ones in the flooding, especially the parents whose children were swept away from the camp.
