Pentagon Shifts Greenland from U.S. Europe to U.S. Northern Command

The move aligns with geographical location rather than political jurisdiction.

The Pentagon announced that it will shift the jurisdiction of Greenland from the U.S. European Command to U.S. Northern Command. The Defense Department stated this shift is necessary to expand the reach of President Donald Trump’s Golden Dome missile project.

“From the perspective of geography, the move makes some sense,” said one of the people familiar. “From a political perspective, however, this clearly is going to worry Europe,” the Pentagon official stated.

President Donald Trump has consistently expressed the importance of Greenland to the national security of the United States. The territory is much closer to the U.S. than Denmark. Pituffik Space Base is the military installation that the U.S. maintains in northwestern Greenland.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump to receive God’s wisdom as he advocates for the acquisition of Greenland from Denmark.
  • For Defense Secretary Hegseth and Pentagon officials as they assess the U.S. military jurisdiction of American bases.
