He will also meet with leaders in Qatar and United Arab Emirates this week.
President Donald Trump is in the Middle East this week to discuss trade and regional concerns. The president is in Saudi Arabia Tuesday, and will then head to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates on his four-day visit to the region. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth accompany President Trump for portions of the trip.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “Eight years ago, President Trump’s first trip was to this same region of the world, where he introduced his bold peace-through-strength foreign policy strategy.”
The press secretary added that President Trump will “re-emphasize his continued vision for a proud, prosperous and successful Middle East, where the United States and Middle Eastern nations are in cooperative relationships, and where extremism is defeated in place of commerce and cultural exchanges.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For safety for President Trump and his conversations with Middle Eastern heads of state will be productive.
- For Secretary Rubio to be led by God as he engages in diplomatic discussions with allied leaders.
- For wisdom for Secretary Hegseth as he reviews the U.S. military presence in the region and coordinates with allied counterparts.
