U.S. Senior Official for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ambassador Matthew Murray is meeting with officials in Japan this week.

The State Department said, “During his visit, Ambassador Murray will promote public-private collaboration, highlight U.S.-Japan economic security efforts, and engage with key APEC partners at Expo 2025 in Osaka.”

Relatives and supporters of Japanese nationals who have been abducted by North Korea recently met with Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau. The department stated that the deputy secretary “reaffirmed U.S. support for Japan in achieving an immediate resolution of the abductions issue.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Ambassador Murray to be discerning as he engages with Japanese ministers and officials.
  • For Secretary of State Rubio to be led by the Lord as he leads the State Department and serves as acting National Security Advisor, Acting Administrator of USAID, and Acting Archivist of the U.S.
  • For President Trump to seek God’s guidance in all his actions and decisions.
