February 21st – Tuesday

Man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. – Deuteronomy 8:3

Today’s verse can be easy to overlook in the hectic bustle of daily life. It is harder to forget the need to consume nourishment for the body, since physical symptoms of hunger generally alert you to the need for food. What about the need for spiritual food? What are some of the symptoms that you are in need of God’s Word? Some indicators might be traits that are opposite of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. If you are feeling angry or agitated, run to the Lord for His love, joy, and peace. If you are struggling with intolerance or fear over things that are happening in the nation or the world, come to Him for patience, kindness, and self control. When you ask, the Lord will lead you in His faithful, gentle goodness. Worship Him today as you pray for the president and his Cabinet.

As the Lord leads, pray with us…

  • For the president and his advisors to seek the Lord and His righteousness, looking to Him for wisdom.
  • For the vice president and Cabinet secretaries to have their hearts drawn to the Savior and become reflectors of His light and love.
