Some States Ease Virus-Related Restrictions

Health authorities advise caution in the process in order to avoid a fresh surge of infection.

Georgia is allowing residents to dine inside restaurants or watch a movie at a theater. Oklahoma, Alaska, and South Carolina have taken steps that allow some occupations to return to work. Colorado, Montana, and Tennessee are also reopening some businesses. States across the nation are eager to revive their battered economies that threw millions of Americans out of work.

Other hard-hit states like New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts are emphasizing the need for more testing and contact tracing to be in place before they implement roadmaps for restarting their state economies.

The CEO of Waffle House has set up requirements for his chain’s restaurants that impose seating arrangements to keep patrons at least six feet apart, stricter sanitization measures, and a requirement that employees wear masks.

Public health authorities urge Americans to exercise caution as human interaction and economic activity could spark a fresh surge of infections just as social distancing measures appear to be bringing outbreaks under control.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For state and federal leaders, along with business owners to seek Godly wisdom as they take steps in the reopening of businesses.
  • For healing and recovery in America.
