National Guard Deploying Overseas Medical Support

KY National Guard’s 1163rd Medical Company Area Support members heading to Europe.

1163rd Medical Company Area Support (MCAS) members in the Kentucky National Guard are being deployed to support Operation Atlantic Resolve. The operation provides U.S. troops with additional health services and protection in cooperation with host nations and partners in the region. Guard personnel are deploying to Poland and other European nations to supplement the often limited local healthcare available to U.S. service members.

“Being the only MCAS supporting forward operational troops during a global pandemic has elevated how vital our presence is to the health and well-being of U.S. Soldiers,” said Army Major Stephanie Fields, commander of the 1163rd MCAS. “During the height of the COVID-19 surge, the 1163rd was medically managing six forward operating sites, not only for routine sick call but also conducting wellness checks for over 200 isolated Soldiers and over 500 quarantined Soldiers, relating to the pandemic.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Medical Company Area Support personnel as they deploy to Europe.
  • For the protection of U.S. Armed forces serving around the world.
  • With thanksgiving for the U.S. military and national guard members’ service.
