Affordable Robotic & Automation Limited will be able to enter the U.S. material-handling market with its autonomous forklifts and pallet trucks.
The Department of Defense has issued a conditional approval to Affordable Robotic & Automation Limited (ARAPL) for specific autonomous forklifts and pallet trucks. This approval grants exemptions from the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Covered List restrictions for foreign-produced robotic devices introduced in July of 2026. It will allow the India-based company to enter the U.S. material-handling market, provided they comply with onshoring plans, local manufacturing commitments over the next two years, and equipment authorization requirements.
The FCC has now given Conditional Approval under the revised framework to 13 robotics operators: Husqvarna AB, ANSCER Robotics, Matic Robots, Volley Automation, Vulcan Robotics, Haystack Robotics, T-Robotics, ARAPL RaaS (Humro), ATI Motors, Lightberry Holdings, SunScout Holdings, Swap Robotics Canada, and OMRON Holdings. The approvals include robotic device categories including robotic lawn mowers, autonomous mobile robots, automated guided vehicles, industrial robots, and other robotic platforms.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Chairman Brendan Carr as he oversees the FCC and its framework for autonomous systems.
- For Secretary Pete Hegseth as he heads the Pentagon and its security reviews of robotic systems for the U.S. marketplace.
