The White House stated that the repeal is “the largest power sector deregulatory action in American history.”
The Environmental Protection Agency finalized the reversal of most of the 2024 Carbon Pollution Standards for greenhouse gas emissions from coal- and gas-fired power plants.
EPA Deputy Administrator David Fotouhi said, “Costs will go down for consumers on their electric bills, and it will also mean that electric generators can invest money into the electric grid, into ensuring grid stability, so that when folks need the lights to stay on, that they will stay on, and that electricity will be there when it’s needed most for businesses, for hospitals, for families across the country.”
The White House stated that the repeal is “the largest power sector deregulatory action in American history. EPA projects the repeal will save $310 billion and help unleash America’s vast energy resources, including coal and natural gas.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Deputy Administrator Fotouhi as he facilitates the lifting of regulations to improve the stability of the nation’s power grid.
- For wisdom for Administrator Zeldin as he oversees the review and updates to environmental regulations.
