Our midterm elections are only six weeks from today. Early voting is already underway in some states. We do not take that closeness lightly. We feel the weight of what this election means for our liberties and freedoms.
We have known through several prior elections — and Christian researcher George Barna has shown it still more clearly — that the praying, faith-filled community has been the single greatest identifiable group of voters. God has given this ministry a wide reach among people who pray. For that reason, our attention must now rest fully on Pray the Vote.
The long aim of Pray the Vote is a complete prayer covering over our nation’s election and voting process.
We ask for your prayers in a particular way this year. Our resources are limited, and the added cost of this effort—websites and emails, and more—rests on an already reduced budget. Pray that the means will be there to cover the election in prayer, and to encourage the praying, faith-filled community to engage and to vote. The Prayer Team President will explain further in a member letter later this week. Please watch for it.
